A geotechnical report is mostly the same document every time — the same structure, the same boilerplate, the same standard calculations — wrapped around a small core of project-specific engineering judgment. Yet engineers rebuild each one largely by hand. Report Studio drafts a complete report from your inputs so your engineers' time concentrates on judgment and review, not re-typing and re-formatting.
Report Studio is the first of several planned capabilities for geotechnical consultants — built on the same principle as the rest of Civilnex: encode the domain expertise, keep the licensed engineer in control, and automate the drudgery in between.
How It Works
Upload the boring logs (required); add a proposal, RFP, or notes (optional); and configure your firm profile once — code editions, bearing caps, foundation guidelines, licensed staff — applied automatically to every report.
AI reads documents, extracts parameters, and drafts narrative; every engineering value is computed by established methods, not guessed. Bearing capacity, settlement, lateral earth pressure, and AASHTO 1993 pavement sections are calculated; seismic and soil data are pulled live from the ASCE 7 Hazard Tool and the USDA Web Soil Survey.
Every field is marked by where it came from — boilerplate, calculated, drafted-from-document, or manual — and the highest-stakes determinations require explicit sign-off. The tool assembles the first draft; your engineer of record reviews, edits, approves, and stamps the final one.
